Ponies For Sale 14.2hh & Under
Gypsy Cob For Sale
Blue is a 13.2 piebald with two wall (blue) eyes. He has been with us since he was a few months old, he is not cut but has the temperament of a old wise pony. He was broken by a 15 year old girl and was a smasher to break. He has never bucked, reared, bitten or kicked. He has a loving nature and would make an ideal first or second pony. He would suit any rider, he will make a great hunter or just a happy hacker. He has great bone, lots of feather and is jumping ditches and drains and has not hesitated or refused. He is 100% bombproof and 100% safe in every way. He is a pure gentleman to box, groom and hack out. He does not go mad when around other horses or ponies and he has lived out all year round and hacks alone or in company. Sad sale as rider wants to move onto horses.
Tack included.

Buying a Pony - Tips and Advice
Buying a pony for your children is a big decision. There are so many points to consider, but it can be very rewarding and can give your children many hours of enjoyment!
Here's some things to consider, before buying:
-
Ensure you have found the right pony before you part with your money. It may take quite a while as more experienced ponies are harder to come by and can be quite expensive, but it is better to wait than to buy something that you then have to sell on as he is not suitable for your small children.
-
Make sure you have enough time to look after him. It may seem like a good idea in the summer when the weather is good and the evenings are bright, but he will still need to be looked after in the winter months.
- If you are planning on buying a young pony ask yourself a few questions like:
- Do I have enough time to train him properly?
- Am I experienced enough to overcome problems?
- Do I have correct facilities and equipment?
- A young pony may not be suitable for young children to ride or handle straight away and may put off an inexperienced rider.
- Even though a pony is smaller and needs less feeding than a bigger horse, there are still lots of ongoing costs, such as, worming, farrier, saddlery & equipment, vaccinations, tuition, vets bills, etc.
